Turkey Chili

Yield 4-6 cups
PREP TIME 10-15 minutes
COOKING TIME 20 minutes
Now that fall is almost officially here, I thought I'd share my delicious Turkey Chili! If you aren't a fan of ground turkey you could always buy ground sirloin or very lean ground beef! Whether you are getting ready to sit down on Sunday or Monday for some football, you can put this Chili together in less than an hour and indulge!

Ingredients:
1 lb. ground turkey *Breast* if you buy ground turkey thats not the breast you could be making this dish higher in fat than with some ground beef!
1 fresh banana pepper
5 small to medium sized mushrooms
1/2 white onion chopped
1/2 garlic clove
1 fresh green chili or 1 4oz. canned green chilies
1 15oz. can *no salt added* kidney beans rinsed and drained
1 15oz. can *no salt added* chili beans in chili sauce
1 29oz. can *no salt added* all natural tomato sauce
1 15oz. can *no salt added* all natural tomato sauce
1 15oz. can diced tomatoes with cilantro and lime

Cooking Directions:
Brown ground meat with onions until meat is cooked then add all the fresh vegetables and let them cook for 2-5 minutes with meat and onion mixture.
Add all canned ingredients to a medium sized pot and then combine the meat mixture. Heat until hot and voila you're done!!!
If you are wanting this to be an all day dish, do the same except add to crockpot instead of pot over the stove and let heat, just make sure it doesn't start boiling! Also if you are feeding more than just a couple of people, just double this recipe and if you are feeding a lot of people do double the recipe with everything except the tomato sauce, you can add four or more 29oz cans and still have a great consistency!

ENJOY!!!
